Can you make money selling Avon?

There are MLM scams and others legit; I believe Avon is legit, but can you make worthwhile money selling Avon? It’s possible, but probably very few do.

I do not believe the likelihood of making a decent income from selling Avon is expected.

We will be looking at some of the telltale signs of what to look for in identifying an MLM scam.

There are a few things that you should be looking out for that could be an indicator that maybe you should stay away from the company,

I think the biggest one is whether you will sell good quality products or recruit over the sales of a product or service.

It may be a pyramid scheme if the company focuses more on recruiting members to build their team rather than getting customers to purchase their products; consider it a red flag.

Part of Most MLM businesses, building a team is a part of the business model, but the main focus should be on getting goods and services to the customers.

While building a team can be a part of that, income is based on goods sold by the team, not on the recruiting itself.

2) Outrageous & Unfounded Product Claims

Look out for outrageous false product claims; these claims make impossible statements of so-called miracles; I would consider this a sign that this is a dishonest company and should not consider becoming a member.

An honest and successful business is built on good quality products and excellent service.

If a company is making ridiculous unfounded claims about the product that seems too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true, and you maybe should stay away, or you could lose your good reputation.

It would be wise to get in business with a company that has been around for at least five years; make sure you get as much information as possible before joining, ask questions, look up reviews on the internet, take your time, and do not allow yourself to be rushed in joining

4) Pressure To Buy and stock inventory

Most, if not all, MLM companies require you to purchase inventory to keep in stock, some require you to buy a certain amount monthly, and others will leave it up to you as long as you are buying something.

Make sure the required amount for you to purchase is not excessive, and the law now requires that the companies buy back the inventory, but that doesn’t mean you want to have your funds tied up in stock that is not selling.

Avon was started by David McConnell In 1886; he was a door-to-door book salesman but discovered that he could do better selling perfume than books.

More than a century later, his vision lives on as the company we know as Avon Today, Avon, is one of the best-known self-employment opportunities in the world.

People from all over the planet have considered Avon as a way to earn some extra cash.

Avon has a global network of nearly 6 million representatives contracted and paid through a network marketing system.

Avon allows representatives to work for themselves, own their businesses, and control their income.

One of Avon’s claims is being an Avon representative allows you to take control of your financial future.

Avon has made a lot of improvements in helping their representatives, like offering a 401k saving plan and health insurance, and representatives are now given their website, Avon, however, has complete control of the websites.

Representatives are allowed only to change colors or tweak the layout; all Avon’s websites looked the same, and thousands were on the web.

Avon also has vast restrictions on using Avon’s name for advertising; in other words, Avon itself owns the websites to sell their products.

The representatives are prohibited from selling Avon products from private websites or venues like Amazon or eBay.

Avon sells perfume, lotions, and many other products like shoes, clothing, jewelry, and household products.

I am no longer a sales representative for Avon, but I still purchase their products because I find them to be good,

I have found that selling  Avon is not for everyone; to make good money from Avon, you have to be extremely good at marketing and recruiting new members,

Some representatives have said they make a good living from selling Avon, and I am not saying you can’t make money selling Avon; yes, it Is possible, sure, but probable for a few.
