If you are looking for a way to make a little extra money on the side in your spare time, in this post I did research on receipt pal, and in this post, I will be stating what I found.

What is Receipt Pal?

The NPD Group, Inc. and its corporate affiliates (“NPD”) provide consumer and retail information and insights for a wide range of industries.

We have been conducting market research for over 50 years. Our clients encompass over 2,000 businesses, including many Fortune 500 companies.

ReceiptPal is NPD’s consumer receipt panel. In exchange for their participation, panelists have the opportunity to earn points for rewards as well as have their receipt information digitally organized to allow for easy look-up and analysis.

How does Receipt Pal Work?

With ReceiptPal, you earn points every time you scan a receipt. And all of your receipts are stored on the mobile app and this will allow you to keep track of your spending too.

When you are out shopping all you have to do is snap a picture of your receipt and upload it into the app. You’ll get 25 points for each receipt you share.

The mobile app is set up by point cards. Every time you complete a card you will get 100 points. You need to snap a picture of four receipts to complete one card.

Receipts can be from any retailer/store for consumer goods purchases of all types such as convenience stores, travel and entertainment, restaurants, grocery stores, clothing stores, sporting goods stores, electronics stores, gas stations, car dealerships, online retailers, etc.

  • Receipts must include the store name, purchase date, the total amount spent, and either the phone number or zip code of the store. In other words, the entire receipt must be in the photo.
  • Receipts must be in English and in U.S. dollars.

Receipts that will not be accepted includes

  •  missing: Purchase Date, Store Name, and/or Total Price.
  • Receipts must be for items purchased for you and your family’s personal use.

  • ATM receipts.
  • Anything hand-written.
  • Anything that states “This is not a receipt.”

From time to time, ReceiptPal may offer a referral program. When available, the referral program is open to active ReceiptPal members with a validated email address.

Is receipt pal Legit?

Yes, this site is a legitimate site, you will not earn a lot of cash but you can earn some good gift cards.

ReceiptPal a market research tool for companies. When you submit receipts, it gives ReceiptPal an idea of what products or services you buy.

When they collect information from a large enough group of people, they get valuable market data.

It is a convenient way for companies because they don’t have to do the research themselves, which can involve a lot more time, money, and employee hours.

They use this research to aid in product development and marketing. ReceiptPal sells insights to companies.

Different Ways To Earn Online

There are MANY different ways that you can earn money online and many different ways in which you can build an entire business. The most lucrative in my opinion is affiliate marketing

Affiliate Marketing is a way of making money online whereby you as a publisher are given a commission for helping a business by promoting their product, service, or site.

There are a number of forms of these types of promotions but the most popular form used is affiliate marketing,

Affiliate marketing involves you as a publisher earning a commission when someone follows a link on your blog to the merchant’s site where they then buy something.

There are other ways to earn a commission, you can earn money for referring a visitor who takes some kind of action – for example when they sign up for something and give an email address, where they complete a survey, where they leave a name, and address, etc.

There are companies that will pay $10-45 if you get people to leave an email address or complete a survey. Nothing has to be purchased

Although a bit restrictive regarding receipts which meet their qualifications, I’ve found this app easy and straightforward, resulting in a fair payout before long! 🙂

ReceiptPal is very good, it accepts all types of receipts, and gives you the same number of points for each receipt. You can cash out to PayPal too, and the cash is pretty good in comparison with other similar receipt apps
