Most of us will face health problems later that affect our ability to work; finding something that also provides a passive income would be best for retirees.

Most of these require cash investment up front that most of us still need to get.

Finding Your Niche

What is a Niche?

A niche market is the subset of the market on which a specific product is focused. A niche is a distinct segment of a market, in other words, an “audience.”

You may have in mind the broad topic that interests you; there is often a particular area that a niche might focus on.

When choosing a niche that fits you, you should choose something that is ideally an interest, a passion, or a hobby, but it could be something you want to learn about. You don’t need to BE an expert, and you will eventually BECOME an expert.

Almost anything you can think of is a niche; select the niche that interests you most and excites you. There is NO SUCH THING as choosing the wrong niche.

There are so many directions you can head, so choose the group you want to work with; an example would be those interested in losing weight.

Also, note that you can always change your niche down the road. Just because you choose a niche now does not mean you will be in this particular niche forever.

If you need help finding your niche, ask yourself a few questions and write down your answers to make a list.

  • What are your hobbies?
  • What things do you like and enjoy doing?
  • How do you spend your free time?
  • What are your favorite topics you like to discuss?
  • When you were young, what was fun for you?
  • What topics do you know more than most?
  • Are there specific classes that you have taken extensively?

Finding your niche can be daunting at first because there are blogs in every niche. You are not going to be the first. You will see areas to fill. Find a need and fill that need.

If you help people, they will trust you and naturally buy from you. If you can create a relationship with people, they will buy from you potentially many times over.

Narrowing Down Your Niche

Remember, once you have relevant traffic, you have all the potential to earn revenue online.

A few things that you should understand about niches are:

(1) You are going to be writing content within your niche

(2) You are going to be communicating within your niche

(3) You are going to be choosing products to promote within your niche

(4) You will get to help people within your niche.
