Another benefit of using Amazon (and these other third-party sites) is that people already trust them and are more likely to buy from them than from your independent website if you have one.

You can sell on Amazon as an individual or as a professional.

Selling as an individual is better for those who deal in low volumes. And don’t anticipate earning a living off their Amazon retailing (or online retailing generally).

Selling as a professional is better suited for people who want to earn a living (or already do) selling things online.

Listing products on Amazon is easy, though it can be time-consuming for Individual sellers with multiple items.

First, search Amazon for the item you plan to sell, noting the prices of similar or identical items.

If another Amazon Marketplace seller lists the exact product, you can create your listing under that product’s heading.

• Put the word on your social media platforms like Facebook and your email marketing list.

• Respond to comments from viewers to create a fan base. Your job is to attract and keep viewers.
