There is a vast difference between Affiliate Marketing, and we will look at both these marketing methods in this post.
First, we will be looking at multi-level marketing or MLM.

With MLM, you have to know the product you are selling, so for you to see the product means, you will have to purchase the product. You have to become a “product of the product.”
With most MLM companies, you will have to spend a certain amount each month to remain a sales rep for the company.
And you will have to recruit members because that is the only way you will be able to make money as you will get a percentage of whatever your “down line” recruits make)
This is a constant system where you will have to keep recruiting new people all the time. Because not everybody you require will stay, it is hard to find the monthly cost of purchasing products. It is also hard work, and most do not succeed and give up easily. Or just become product buyers.
Then you will, in turn, push them to get more people they can recruit because the more they recruit, the more money you will make as you will be getting a commission from their sales.
As a former MLM marketer, I think you have to be aggressive in recruiting for you to make any money.

- People only join if they see you earning money; this can take years.

- You cannot promote as you would like; they have many rules of what you can and can’t.
- Many products, although not allowed, are widely sold elsewhere, like eBay and other marketplaces.
- Most companies tell you, you cannot sell by any other means but by personally (person to person), but the products can be found online; I found the products I was selling on Amazon costing much less than the selling price the company had listed.

Companies like Amazon will give you links that you place on your website; then, you draw people to your site; this takes time as you have to gain the trust of your audience.
