DADAABC is a legit company
In previous posts, I suggested that being an online tutor would be a good way of earning some extra cash.
I have been looking into teaching English to Chinese students, and I found this website, did my research, and found this is a legit company, and the pay is not bad.
This company is DADADABC, an online one-on-one English education platform for children between 4 to 16 years old.
It is the first online English education company in mainland China to form a working relationship with the Americas TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages) institute.
They have also partnered with the Pearson Test of English Academic, Highlights, and National Geography Learning to offer a world-class curriculum.
Teaching English as an online teacher with companies like DaDaABC teacher is a great career option for those Looking for flexibility in a part-time job with great pay.
DaDaABC was founded in 2013, is located in Shanghai, China, and offers a work-at-home opportunity through a one-on-one teaching experience within an online classroom.
This classroom includes video, chat, and a virtual whiteboard with pre-planned lessons, games, tools, and animations to help you complete your classes.
And these lessons are geared toward students in Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle School, and High School.

- Speak English at an idiomatic level (neutral accent)
- Hold a BA degree or above (desirable)
- Teaching certification is preferred (such as TESOL/TEFL/CELTA etc.)
- Stable and strong internet connection
- Teaching experience is preferred
DaDaABC requires that English is the teacher’s native language and that must possess a Bachelor’s degree. A TEFL Certification and teaching experience are not mandatory but helpful and can affect your pay rate. Experience with children is a plus, as your student’s ages will be between the ages of 4-13
Device Requirements:
You’ll need a computer with a webcam or an HD webcam, a headset with a microphone, and a stable internet connection.
For your internet connection, DaDaABC requires a minimum upload speed of at least 2mb/s, and a download speed should be at least 10mb/s
Hours & Scheduling:
Teachers must work at least 2 hours and two days per week within these time slots. A consecutive, two-day-minimum schedule is only allowed on weekends. DaDaABC has a set schedule, and you choose the shifts that you want from these available time slots:
Monday – Friday: 6:00pm – 9:10pm (Shanghai Time)
Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am – 12:06pm; 2:00pm – 4:06pm; 6:00pm – 9:10pm

Earnings
Range: $15 to $25 per hour

Great pay, Great students, Easy to learn the online platform,
Cons
Requires ESL certificate but states on platform application ad not require, the online ad also states educators could earn certification through them, requires you to do your background check, lack of communication holds educator responsible for the time requested even though they are not the period is not a penalty within contract expectations.

This job is an Excellent enriching source of supplemental income and very fun!
Cons
It is hard to say goodbye to your regular students when they choose another teacher, and it breaks my heart when I can’t see them anymore.

The students are great. You get to know them, can tailor your lessons to their strengths, and work on their weaknesses while giving them a fun learning experience. Overall I love working here; as with any job, there will be some negative things.
Cons
Evaluations are an unpaid activity, and they are time-consuming. Seven evaluations take an hour to complete if you plan an hour before you begin work for those classes. If you count the prep time, keeping student records, and all the unpaid time you spend on giving good evaluations that are differentiated for each student and the prep time you spend before classes, sometimes it feels very overwhelming. The reward point system needs to be better.
Of course, you can start your own business for free, and you will be able to set your schedule; I will assist you along with a constructive community who are eager to see you succeed.
