Oh great post, I have also just joined wealthy affiliate and it took me no time to get upgraded to premium because I knew it was for me. Though I still retain my job and I’m working part time on the platform, I have received a considerable amount of support and I’m really glad I joined. The support from wealthy affiliate itself is fabulous and it’s impossible not to fall in love with it. Overall, you’re right, anyone who needs a new job should jump on it. I am also going to quit my job once I can find my way around and get a good feet. Great write up.

This is exactly what I was looking for starting an online business. It is so true that getting a job is not easy. I was working as a contract staff and after the contract end, I am jobless.

Thank you for taking the time to comment I really appreciate it, I know quite a bit about seeking a job I was made redundant due to company downsizing, and was not really a young person, so to find a job was for me non-existent But thanks to Wealthy Affiliate (in my opinion the best training platform) I now have the opportunity of earning.
The lessons are well explained, they are taught in the step by step method which makes it easy to follow, and the good thing is you have these training videos available so you can revisit the lessons whenever you wish, and with the Wealthy Affiliate community here is always someone to assist you.

Working online has given me the freedom to quit my 9-5 soul-sucking job and be completely independent. Having my own online business is so enjoyable because I can work on my business on my own schedule, and I blog about things I’m really interested in and love to do. Wealthy Affiliate took my online business to the next level, and now that I’m a member, I would never leave my membership because of all the value it brings to my business on a continuing basis. I was interested to read your article about how to start your own business rather than continuing with an ongoing battle to find a suitable position in the employment field, as it is these days.
I well remember time in the late 1980s, into the 1990s, when I was employed in administration management. This role caused me to be involved with interviewing prospective employees. I felt strongly for those responding to an advertisement of vacant position within the establishment as it was usual to receive more than 300 applications for that one position.
Acting on the employer side was so difficult as even identifying say 10 people to interview was hard, but not as hard as saying ‘NO’ to the huge number of unsuccessful applicants.
Nowadays, the possibility of starting an online business that can be worked from home is a huge advantage. It is my opinion that working from home makes sense. When employed in a brick and mortar business, so much time can be wasted daily just with travelling to work and the return travel at the end of each day.
There are a variety of skills that can be offered from a work- at- home business.
I see your emphasis is on affiliate marketing which is, in my opinion, an excellent way for anyone who has the necessary skills to provide financially for their self and family.
Also, I see that Wealthy Affiliate is a programme you recommend for people who wish to learn how to have their own website, and earn their income from home.

Hi Valerie, It was a battle for me too, I am a boomer that is also slightly disabled from a fall, so finding a job was very hard, and having little skill with computers made it even harder, but I found Wealthy Affiliate, and this has opened a new world to me, which I love.
I am not only making some money from the comfort of my home but I have gained a skill, I have learned about affiliate marketing and a little of all that goes in to online marketing and some computer skills as well .
