Shopalong.com has been around since 2006 and operates under the umbrella of Purchased, a market research company.
What is Shopalong.com
Shopalong.com is a mobile community where you can earn cash for completing fun assignments at the places you visit every day.
Your opinions will shape future shopping experiences retailers and manufacturers can give you.
Shopalong.com is run by Purchased, a market research firm that works with consumer brands.
How Does Shopalong.com Work?
Login to shopalongapp.com and complete the short form on their homepage to create an account.
You will need to supply your contact information like age, gender, and residency; registration is free.
To become a participant in the Shopalong.com program, you must first download the app.
It will be necessary to download their app, both on Google Store and iTunes App Store, to access all assignments.
It’s available on iOS and Android devices and will enable you to check into stores, upload receipts, etc.
How Are Participants Rewarded?
Participate in assignments such as taking pictures of products, logging the shopping trips you take to find specific items for holidays, celebrations, etc., preparing shopping lists, etc. Every assignment is different.
Other assignments may ask you to keep a digital diary of what you experience throughout the day.
There are typically 3 phases to assignments: qualifying for the project, answering polls and participating in the requisite activities, and taking a final wrap-up survey on your selection.
You must finish the assignment and all of its requirements to collect your rewards. You will get anything from $5 to $50, depending on the complexity and number of tasks.
How Are Participants Paid?
There are no points systems, and you can collect your earnings via PayPal or a pre-paid Visa card as soon as you have a cash balance in your account.
There is no minimum balance needed in your account to request a payment!
My thoughts on Shopalong.com Surveys
This site is legitimate and was established in 2006; there are many participants, and as to be expected, there are different views concerning this site.
There are a few advantages to being a participant.

If you shop a lot, you may consider this site, but if you are serious about making a decent income online, there are other ways.
Surveys are usually not big money earners; if you have some time to spare and do not mind the small amount you can earn, join.
But if you think it is a waste of your time and would like to earn more, this is possible.
There are many other ways to make money online.
However, success will not happen overnight; whatever area of making money online will take some time.

I finished doing a two-week assignment didn’t get the last survey. After three emails telling them I hadn’t received they got back to me and gave me instructions on recording my last activity.
I did what they asked, and they said it was missing info. So went back and fixed and still, they said it was missing info! A waste of time!!! Will not participate in any more assignments from this company!

I have completed an assignment with Shopalong & was paid I did an assignment for 30 days had fun doing it And received my FINAL SURVEY with no issues thru the whole 30 days.
And after I completed my FINAL SURVEY was paid ASAP. I absolutely love this site. I do wish I would receive more assignments tho.
That is the only issue I have. Thank you ShopAlong for being legit & so much fun.

Avoid any opportunities from this organisation. Set unrealistic conditions on payment – I got a poll at 3.20 am which had to completed in the next hour.
I am in process of complaining to panel I got offer from and market research institute – to try to get them closed down from their unprofessional practices.
Still getting poll request from even though diary ended 7 days ago plus do not respond to emails complaints

Update, 1 project from them and nothing else! The 1 i did was100 percent worth it. The best place to be a member. Wish they had more projects. It was fun and helped me watch my spending.

I did the study as asked, and then when it was time to take the final survey, which I had to do to get paid, it wouldn’t let me. After that got fixed, it wouldn’t let me get my reward. Now they just won’t respond to my emails. My time is important and I feel like I just wasted a week of it.
