What is PlaytestCloud?

PlaytestCloud was created to help game developers learn more about what players think about their games and if any issues need to be addressed. For players, it’s a chance to make some money on the side while improving mobile games!

Game makers conduct playtests at every stage of development; they need feedback from players to understand the thoughts and feelings of someone playing their game.

This is where being a tester with PlaytestCloud comes in: we will send you previously unseen versions of the game, which you will need to play while you think out loud and complete a survey.

.PlaytestCloud was founded by Marvin Killing and Christian Ress in Germany and is currently based in Germany.

It is designed to provide usability playtesting tools for game studios; members of PlatesCloud ( playtesters) are paid to test their clients’ games.

There are several ways to make money on this site, testing games and answering surveys.

Playtests Tester

One way you can earn from this site is to become a tester. And when you become a tester, you will be invited to players from every corner of the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

PlayTesters are screened and tested to determine their eligibility to become playtesters and their gaming skills and interests.

After becoming a member of PlaytesCloud, they send you test invites via your email; there is no tester dashboard you can log in to; It is crucial to check your email often not to miss any earning opportunity.

On average, most playtesters will receive a new playtest invitation every other week, but this can vary depending on your location.

To start the test, you must download the game the site wants you to test and agree to their Non-Disclosure Agreement before you can begin testing.

There is no need to download an app, and It comes packaged with the game you must install.

Once you install the game, you have to follow the guidelines provided in the email. Their tests typically last 15 minutes, and you must think aloud during this time.

The Guidelines contain the following instructions:

• How to play the game
• What information you’re required to provide
• How to upload your recording
• Your earning potential

That means you have to talk while you are testing and do your testing in a quiet room.

Once you have finished uploading your test, PlaytestCloud will review your work, and if everything is in order, you will receive the payment in a few days.

PlaytestCloud Standalone surveys

Standalone surveys are another earning opportunity. It’s essential, to be honest! Even negative feedback helps developers with the game, so don’t be afraid to tell them what you think.

Please provide thoughtful responses to the survey. Your answers are essential to the game developer and improve the final version. Don’t select contradictory options during a screener survey. We monitor them, and you may miss out on a playtest if the qualification survey isn’t accurate.

If you do not complete the survey or don’t include enough detail, we cannot pass on the playtest to the game developers for them to study and won’t be able to justify payment as the requirements have not been met.

How do you get paid on PlaytestCloud?

Payments are made via PayPal three times a week, Some tests are processed the day you have completed them, but it depends on how many people need to oversee the project and how many parts need to be reviewed.

You may have to wait a bit longer (up to 3 days) for some playtest results; this is also normal.

A 15-minute will reward $9, but if you are unsure, please check the invitation email for the playtest.

Is PlaytestCloud Legit?

PlaytestCloud is a legit game testing site that will pay you for testing unreleased mobile games.

PlaytestCloud is one of the better game-testing sites, it pays relatively well, and you don’t have to reach a threshold to withdraw your earnings.

My Thoughts

PlaytestCloud pays $9 for testing a game for 15 min; this is good, but On average, most playtesters will receive a new playtest invitation every other week, but this can vary depending on your location.

There are better ways to earn money online, and success doesn’t matter where you live; I like that it is free to join, and payment is reasonably quick.
